In her redesign of the student lounge on the NYSID graduate campus, Maggie wanted to create a peaceful yet utilitarian space for relaxing, meeting, and working. Inspired by traditional Japanese vernacular architecture and Pierre Chareau & Bernard Bijovet’s Maison de Verre, she designs a space that balances professionalism and warmth, cultivating a collective atmosphere while allowing flexibility in its use.
